Anyway, as a 1st year, we should volunteered in helping out because help was really needed and there are just too few people around.. So, I volunteered.. and I was assigned to......cut vegetables for the food preparation for 750 people.... Wow.... lots of cutting to do...
I have to start cutting at 7.30am for three days.... & for the 1st day, I cut more than 100 garlic... boxes of vegetable.. today I peeled 700 eggs... and packed for 750 people.. EXHAUSTING.. I even have to cut cabbage bigger than the size of our brain!!!!! I SHIT YOU NOT... I even cut my fingers today because I was so focus into splitting that damn bloody humongous son of a bitch cabbage into half , I didn even noticed I had my little finger under the knife.. So I cut, pressed hard.. and then...... oooh shit... I can feel the knife in my skin for a split second and then ooooh.. blood.. but it was worth it..We had a great experience with the russian ladies in the kitchen because we don't understand what were they telling us and they kept on laughing at us because we only know how to answer 'yes' and 'no' to all questions.. even to questions which are not yes-no based and statements which are not questions... but it was hilarious..
... though we laughed and laughed and cut.. these aunties are not simply aunties.. they are thieves... KNIFE-THIEVES to be exact.. They steal our "sharp and new" knife and replaced their "blunt and old" knives as ours.... WTF.. & it's not even once.. twice!.. First day, they stole it and stuck it under the table.. we found it.. hooray for us.. the second day, we kept our knives, but they found it and took it.. and this time.. they're smart.. they locked it in their room... so basically.. we were jz knife-less.. those blunt knives are not considered as knife... seriously... how cheap can they be... the central market is just round the corner..... we were kind of pissed off.. we wanted to get revenge on the loss of our beloved knife.. We planned to steal the whole kitchen... including the ventilator, the big oven and the stoves. What a surprise for them to find out not only their utensils gone, but the whole kitchen... Great plot, simple, easy and straight to the point,
Anyway, so my Uni has been leading as most games are won by us... Let's hope it stays that way.. so if we win, we get a holiday.... Wow. holiday... very rare here.. They even work on Saturdays, they are workaholics.. that's why they don't have much holidays.. No wonder they are so miserable..
Moving on, today I went to watch the netball match.. & it was the bomb!!!!!!!.. ok.. maybe not so bombastic as the basketball game because my friend claimed that the whole hall was shaking with roars of cheers and screams during the game.. anyway, netball.. wow.. those players were rough... it's like a war zone out there... Who said girls like to play gentle, afraid to be touched.... You come and see for yourself.. It's like.. WWE smackdown.. and also.. there was one match where RSMU (Russian State Medic Uni) supporters and our supporters nearly start punching each other.. ahh.. I was too late was I was still peeling eggs.. but the tension was so great... because everyone wants to win... Who say girls can't fight?? You boys fight, after fight everything's ok.. When we fight... hohoho the fight continues.. eternally.... even after the fight.. We never.. NEVER forget.. We will remember where, who, when.. even date and time of the fight..
So now, 1 more day left till Kursk game is officially over.. I cut my finger and almost burned a hole into my throat today.. tiring but satisfying.. Then classes start again... My 1st and last event that I'm experienced in Kursk.. was superbly awesome.
p.s The search of our knives resume tomorrow.. It's the 4 amigos vs the Babooshkas .. again.. Who will win????
